My Work

I am currently working on a series of Toronto paintings with a focus on the pedestrian experience. I paint in a simplified colour-block style and use colour functionally. All paintings in this series begin with photographs taken while walking in the city. To keep the focus on people, I have excluded all cars, commercial signage, and text.

I am working in watercolour and acrylic on paper, as well as creating works on canvas. My paintings on canvas have a 1.5 profile and are painted entirely. Before 2025, I created several Georgian Bay landscapes in acrylic on canvas.

My style is simple and vibrant. I aim to create rich, dynamic paintings by balancing clean lines and shapes with bold colours and high-contrast palettes.
